People with disabilities are half as likely to be employed than people without disabilities. Only 16% of people with IDD, like autism or Down Syndrome, are employed full time. Employment First hopes to change this situation. Employment First means that people with disabilities should be encouraged and supported to find real jobs and be paid real wages.
